The Tennessee Titans are refusing to do any trade deals with the Patriots due to Mike Vrabel being their head coach.
New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel shared an injury update on wide receiver Kayshon Boutte, who left Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons early with a hamstring injury.
Patriots defensive tackle Milton Williams got a free rush and forced Penix to throw the ball away after it was snapped early. Trailing 24-23 at the time, the Falcons quarterback was flagged for intentional grounding. The Falcons punted two plays later, and the Patriots were able to put the game away.
Falcons coach Raheem Morris said after Sunday's loss that the Patriots were simulating the Falcons' snap count by having defensive linemen clap, confusing the Falcons' offensive linemen about whether the play was starting.
The term was coined by coach Mike Vrabel during his regular appearance on WEEI's The Greg Hill Show on Monday morning. Vrabel was responding to an accusation from Falcons coach Raheem Morris who said that New England had simulated Atlanta's snap by clapping, which directly led to a key intentional grounding call late in the fourth quarter.
“Not much,” Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said on WEEI when asked what he can say about Boutte’s injury. “Hamstring.” Boutte is in the midst of a strong season with 23 catches for 431 yards and five touchdown catches.
Head coach Mike Vrabel could trade another defensive player before the deadline after shopping Kyle Dugger and Keion White.
