Former news anchor Angelynn Mock charged with first-degree murder after allegedly stabbing her 80-year-old mother to death in their Wichita home.

Anita Avers, 80, was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead after officers found her with multiple stab wounds at her home in Wichita, Kansas.

Police in Fairfield arrested a man on multiple charges after he allegedly stabbed multiple people during an incident over the weekend.

British Transport Police say the "heroic" man who tried to stop the attack remains in hospital. Five others have been discharged.
