The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured five people early Sunday morning in Northeast Washington, D.C.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said they are searching for a missing 12-year-old girl. Deputies say JaNyia McCombs is believed to have run away from Beacon Street in Greenville at approximately 2:20 p.m. Sunday. JaNyia fled the area on a purple bicycle and is believed to be heading to Assembly View apartments or the Furman Hall road area.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Saturday night in Lake Worth Beach.

Firefighters said they established a fire watch at the scene and extinguished two flare-ups, one that occurred at 4:45 a.m. and another at 7:20 a.m. Police will remain on the scene until the building is demolished. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
