After a two-week hiatus, “Saturday Night Live” returned with a new episode Dec. 6 with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Dijon, marking McCarthy’s sixth time hosting, her first since 2017, and Dijon’s “SNL” debut.
Ariana Grande spoofed a scene from “Home Alone,” but with a gruesome and bloody ending, when she hosted the final “Saturday Night Live” episode of the year over the weekend. During the sketch, Grande, 32, transforms into Macaulay Culkin’s beloved 8-year-old character from the 1990 film, complete with short blonde hair and Christmas pajamas.
“Wicked: For Good” star Ariana Grande is set to host the episode, marking her third time hosting “SNL” and fifth overall appearance after two stints as musical guest in 2014 and 2022. Grande was last on stage in Studio 8H in October 2024, when she hosted ahead of “Wicked” hitting theaters.

For the second year in a row, Colin Jost was forced to insult his famous wife during his and Michael Che’s joke swap segment on the “Weekend Update” portion of “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.
The new episode will air at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Those without cable or dealing with the NBCUniversal blackout on FuboTV can watch the show for free through DIRECTV, which offers a free trial to new users. Sling and Peacock are other options for streaming the show, and promotional offers are available.
