Flags at the White House were lowered to half-staff on Nov. 4 after the death of former Vice President Dick Cheney, although President Donald Trump has yet to address the news.

Former US Vice-President Dick Cheney, a key architect of George W Bush's "war on terror" and an early advocate of the invasion of Iraq in 2003, has died at the age of 84.

“For decades, Dick Cheney served our nation, including as White House Chief of Staff, Wyoming’s Congressman, Secretary of Defense, and Vice President of the United States,” the statement said.
